Key West Sword fishing has quickly become one of the most popular trips we offer, especially out daytime trip.It used to be rumored that you can only catch swordfish at night, however lately our most productive trips have been mid-day. The benefit of daytime fishing is after several minutes or in some case several hours of fighting these monsters you can see the fish come to the surface and get great photos to last a lifetime.

There are multiple ways to fish for swordfish, but the most common and productive way we find is going deep. Because many swordfish used to be caught by long lining near shore, the remaining population of Florida swordfish lives anywhere from 40 to 100 miles off Key West.  Once we reach the fishing grounds we let the boat drift, as the ocean bottom is too deep to anchor. Because of the size and strength of swordfish it requires specialized tackle, and we use nothing but the best.
